It
is very important that you add your home theater speakers appropriately
to get a full surround sound effect. If these are not placed properly
then you can obtain echoes, bouncing of the sounds off the walls, and
misdirected sound. Though each room will need to be dealt separately,
but still there are some cosmopolitan rules, which if followed will
provide you with good results.
What I am going to honorable
mention now applies to the 5.1 or 7.1 household theater systems. In
these programs, there is a central speaker. It should ideally possibly
be placed directly above your TV display. If that is not possible so it
should be directly below the idea. It gives a sense of direction and
acts as a possible "anchor." When placed direct above or below the TV,
this sound appears to be coming on the direction of the TV. If which is
not possible then it can be located slightly to the left or right.
The
next thing is placing the correct and left speakers. Along with your
central speaker they form a base of the home theater method. That is why
it is crucial that you place them correctly. Ideally, these must be
placed at least three feet from the central speaker and turned at the
angle of between 45 to 60 degrees and should face the crowd. The
central, left and right loudspeakers should form an arc or semicircle of
sound around the listener.
In addition to these "platform"
speakers there are extra "surround" speakers, which need to be placed
behind the listener; two within a 5.1 system, and four in 7.1 system.
Though placing of these environment speakers depends very much on the
person size and layout of your space, but still there are good standard
rules, which can be followed.
The two speakers are placed such a
way that they are slightly behindhand the listener, at an angle
involving 45 degrees and roughly at the ear canal level of a seated
listener i.e. at a height of 3-4 feet; you might need a speaker stand
for these. The a couple extra speakers in the 7.1 system should ideally
be fixed for the wall behind the listener at a height of 3-4 feet
roughly 4-5 feet behind the listener. If the actual wall is further away
than this particular then stands can be used as a substitute
Try
changing the positions of the actual speakers till you get the heavy
configuration that you like the very best. After all it is you who be
listening to it so many people setup should be to your preference.
